Visiting Artist Du Chau

The Du Chau Workshop/Lecture was an informative and insightful look into the process and artistic approach to sculpting. Du Chau demonstrated and discussed the intricacies of trying to be a good artist and just simply trying to make art. He showed us years worth of objects he's used as the base or starting point, for many of his works of art. Du Chau brought up how over the years he has tried to push himself within his medium further and further, to try and be an exemplary artist of non traditional methods for his pupils and fellow artists. He has installations that consist of 100, 1000 and even 10,000 pieces of art. His dedication to his work and his life of untraditional proportions, all made for a thought provoking and fun lecture to be in attendance of. Also the free pizza was cool.....
